Nanci
E. Luna Jiménez, of Puerto Rican and Chicana
heritage, brings a unique perspective and personal passion
to her work. A Ford Foundation Fellow, she was a Ph.D. candidate
at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received
her B.A. cum laude from Yale University. In addition, she
attended the Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río
Piedras, and El Programa Interdiciplinario de la Mujer at
the Colegio de México in Mexico City. In August 2001
she attended the United Nations World Conference Against Racism
Non-Governmental Forum in Durban, South Africa, as a delegate
with United to End Racism. Nanci teaches valuable skills and
insights that assist organizations and individuals to build
workable alliances across differences and develop visionary
leadership.
Kristin
Masters is a trainer and consultant in leadership
development, conflict resolution and facilitation, and community
program development. She was a member and trainer with the
National Coalition Building Institute for six years, and was
a chapter director for three years. She has a B.S. in Community
Health from the University of California, Davis. She has worked
extensively in human services, and knows the non-profit sector
from both board and staff perspectives. She is the director
of a large community center for the city of Santa Cruz, CA.
As a white woman, she is committed to overcoming racism and
other oppresions, and is dedicated to supporting others to
be allies. She lives with her partner and their daughter in
a music-filled home in Santa Cruz, CA.
